The plan for 2010/2011  今年度の計画
The second meeting
Date and Time: 11 March, Friday, from 7 to 8.30pm
Place: Cafe Bar in Filmhouse
Film: 'The Bird People in China' (1998) directed by Mr Takashi Miike  
       　 It starts at 8.45pm at Filmhouse.
*I hope we can learn about the director and the original novel before watching it.
The main character of this film is acted by Mr Motoki, who acted the main character of 'Departures'. This film is based on a novel with the same title written by Mr Makoto Shiina. Mr Miike is also the director for the film 'The Happiness of the Katakuris'.

映画：三池崇史監督「中国の鳥人」（１９９８）
　　　　フィルムハウスにて午後８時４５分より上映。
＊映画を見る前に、監督について、また映画の原作小説について学ぶことができればと思っています。
この映画の主人公は、「送り人」の主役を演じた本木雅弘によって演じられている。この映画の原作は、椎名誠の同名小説。三池氏は、「カタクリ家の幸福」の監督でもある。

This is the first animation made by the Studio Ghibli in 1986. This story is supposed to have been set in late nineteenth century Britain. This film has been repeatedly
shown in a popular TV film road show for more than 20 years in Japan.
The main character is a boy and he meets a girl who fell from the sky. This
brings him an adventure and gives him a chance to become a hero in 
his own life. This film night will be jointly hosted with the Welcoming International Cinema Club.
