Seventh meeting of the singing group 合唱団第7回目の集まり

The 7th meeting of the Japanese Singing Group was held on 25 November at The University of Edinburgh's Alison House. With the addition of 2 new attendants the meeting started from 7 and went on till 8:30.

第7回目の日本語合唱団は、11月25日（木曜日）にエディンバラ大学のアリソン・ハウスで午後7時から8時半までもたれました。お二人の新しい方が、参加してくださいました。

From this time we started a new way of managing each meeting that a member who has created a certain song's lyrics and background information chairs the relevant song's rehearsal. "Hotaru Koi" was managed by Satoko, "Furusato" was managed by Bengt and "Sakura" was done by Farhan. As for singing warm-ups it has been decided that Shaun will now be in charge of it.

今回から、各歌の背景説明・歌詞の解釈を担当した方が、それぞれの歌の司会進行をすることにしました。「蛍こい」はさとこさん、「ふるさと」はベンクトさん、「さくら」はファーハンさんが、それぞれ進めてくださいました。発声練習は、ショーンさんが担当してくださることになりました。

It was really good to see some people displaying more of their personalty at this meeting than before. One of the new attendants said to us, 'Even if you cannot sing well, it would be important to sing a song sincerely hoping to send messages appeared in the lyrics to listeners.'

今まで見えなかったそれぞれの個性が発揮され、とても良かったです。新しくきてくださったある方は、「うまく歌えなくても、歌詞に現れたことを聞いている人に心から伝えたいと願って歌う、そのことが大事なのではないか」と感想を述べてくださいました。

Presently we are rehearsing for a Bazaar event organised by the Welcoming Association on 11 December, Saturday. With two more rehearsals left I hope we deepen the meaning of the lyrics of each song. Also as Ms Calyn Tsukishima explained I greatly hope  that we will be able to teach us how to let our hearts listen and echoe between each other!

現在は、12月11日（土曜日）のウェルカミング協会の主催するバザーで歌うことにむけて、練習をしています。あと二回の練習が残されるのみですが、歌詞の意味をあらためて深くつかみ、月嶋カリンさんが

くださったことですが、私たちの間でも、また聞いてくださる方との関係でも、心が響きあうように歌えるといいなあ、と思います！
