Two meetings of the Singing Group 二回の合唱団の集まり

The Japanese Singing Group had the fifth and sixth meetings on 11 & 18 November at Edinburgh University's Alison House. At the moment we are rehearsing songs to sing at Bazaar run by the Welcoming Association at the Tollcross Community Centre on 11 December, Saturday.

日本語合唱団は、11月11日および18日に、第五回、第六回の集まりをエディンバラ大学のアリソン・ハウスにてもちました。現在は、トルクロス・コミュニティ・センターで開かれる、12月11日（土曜日）のウェルカミング協会のバザーで歌うことを目標に練習をしています。 

On both 11 and 18, first we did warm-up for singing for around 10 minutes. As for singing, on 11, we rehearsed 'Shonen jidai' in one male and two female groups and sang together afterward. Later we sang the melody of 'Sakura'. On 18, we rehearsed a traditional children's song 'Hotaru koi' and sang it in the way of singing a canon. Then  after practicing 'Sakura' in the same three groups, we sang together.   

11日および18日とも、まず、発声練習を10分程度しました。11日には、歌としては、まず「少年時代」を、男性一組と女性二組に分かれて練習し、皆で合わせたあと、「さくら」のメロディのみを一度、みんなで一緒に歌いました。18日は、わらべ歌の「ほたるこい」を練習し、輪唱したあと、「さくら」を同様に三組に分かれて練習し、最後に皆で合わせました。

On 11, 16 people attended, while 12 on 18. In addition to singing, we plan to sell some foods, cards and others at the Bazaar to raise fund for the Japanese Singing Group. For a poster for the Bazaar please see below.
