The Singing Group this year 　今年の合唱団

Yesterday the first meeting of the Japanese Singing Group in 2010/2011 was held at the cafe next to the main library in Edinburgh University. It decided several things about this year's activities of the group.

昨日、日本語合唱団の今年度始めての集まりが、エディンバラ大学の中央図書館の横の喫茶店で開かれました。今年のグループの活動についていくつかのことを決めました。

First it has been confirmed that the Japanese Singing Group would work as a sub-group of Edinburgh University Japanese Society this year.  

最初に、日本語合唱団が今年、エディンバラ大学ジャパニーズソサイティのサブグループとして活動することが確認されました。

Secondly, a provisional committee for the group was set up. I (Atsuko Betchaku) would be its president and Ms Naomi Matsukawa would be secretary as well as music leader (for the time being, also looking after finance) . We have been recruting some others who could be  committee members.

第二に、グループの仮委員会が作られました。私（別役厚子）が団長であり、松川菜織美さんが書記兼音楽リーダー（当面財政もかねる）となります。 どなたかさらに委員をしてくださる方を募集しています。   

Thirdly, rehearsals of the singing group would be held every Thursday from 7 to 8.30pm. The venue will be informed later.

第三に、合唱団の練習は、毎週木曜日、午後７時から８時半まで行われます。場所については、のちほど、お知らせします。

Fourthly we hope to have two main occassions to perform in front of an audience, first in December and secondly in March/April 2011.

第四に、聴衆の前で歌う機会については、主に二回、１２月と来年３・４月に持てればと願っています。 

Fifthly we collect £5 per person for 2010/2011 as a membership fee. 

第五に、会員費として、２０１０・２０１１年につき、一人当たり５ポンドを集めます。

Sixthly the lyrics of each song would be prepared in Roman characters as well as in Japanese, so that those who don't read Japanese can also sing. 

第六に、おのおのの歌の歌詞については、日本語を読まない人も歌えるように、日本語と、ローマ字で準備されます。
