The Japanese Singing Group in Spring 春の日本語合唱団

Meetings of the Japanese Singing Group in April and May will be held weekly on Mondays and Thursdays alternately, starting on 12 April.

４月と５月の日本語合唱団の集まりは、４月１２日にはじまり、毎週、月曜日と木曜日に交替でもたれます。

Currently the Japanese Singing Group is hoping to have a concert on 29 May, Saturday, in the early evening, in conjunction with another organisation. Our meetings in spring would therefore be used for preparing for the concert.

現在のところ、日本語合唱団は、もう一つの団体と協力して、５月２９日、土曜日の夕方早くの時間に、コンサートを開催したいと思っています。それゆえ、春の私たちの集まりは、このコンサートにむけての準備に使われることになるでしょう。

In the planned concert, it will firstly consider historical relationships between Japan and Scotland through songs. But the concert will also introduce some well known contemporary Japanese songs showing their backgrounds.

計画されているコンサートでは、第一に、歌を通じて、日本とスコットランドの歴史的な関係を検討します。ですが、コンサートは、また、その背景を示しながら、良く知られた現代の日本の歌を紹介します。 

As a special guest, we hope to invite Ms Calyn Tsukishima, who has shown deep interest in the Japanese Singing Group and has arranged one song for us, to the concert.

特別ゲストとして、私たちは、日本語合唱団に深い関心を示し、私たちのためにある歌のアレンジをしてくださった月嶋カリンさんをコンサートにご招待できればと望んでいます。
