Yesterday's Japanese Singing Group 昨日の日本語合唱団

Yesterday the Japanese Singing Group performed at Edinburgh University Japanese Society Karaoke party whcih was held at the Outhouse.

昨日、日本語合唱団は、アウトハウスでもたれたエディンバラ大学ジャパニーズソサイティのカラオケパーティで歌いました。

On this day we had a farewell party from 5.30pm for one member who is leaving Edinburgh. After that we had a regular meeting of the singing group at the Tollcross Community Centre. This time there were three new members, two British and one Japanese. 

この日に、私たちは、エディンバラを離れるあるメンバーのために、午後５時半よりお別れ会を持ちました。その後、トルクロス・コミュニティ・センターで合唱団の定期的な集まりを持ちました。今回は、イギリス人２人の方と、日本人１人の方という、３人の新しいメンバーがいました。

Instead of revising the song we sang at the previous meeting, we practiced two songs which members who were singing at the Karaoke party at least sang before. Then we sang a new song.

前回の集まりで歌った歌を復習する代わりに、私たちは、カラオケ・パーティで歌うことになっているメンバーが、少なくとも以前に歌ったことのある二つの歌を練習しました。そのあと、新しい歌を歌いました。

At the Karaoke party 7 members sang 'Oboro dukiyo', 'Imjin gawa' and 'Tsubasao kudasai'. One of our new attempts was that three members sang the first stanza of 'Imjin gawa' in Korean.

カラオケ・パーティでは、７人のメンバーが「朧月夜」「イムジン河」そして「翼をください」を歌いました。私たちの新しい試みの一つは、三人のメンバーが韓国語で、「イムジン河」の一番を歌ったことでした。
