Session for 'Tokyo Sonata' 「トウキョウソナタ」の集まり

The Film Group is to host one session watching 'Tokyo Sonata' together with the Welcoming International Cinema Club as part of the latter's programme from April.

映画の会は、ウェルカミング国際映画クラブと一緒に、４月からの後者のプログラムの一環として「トウキョウソナタ」を見る集まりを主催します。

This film was directed by Mr Kiyoshi Kurosawa in 2008 and won un certain regard jury award in Cannes International Film Festival and also grand jury prize at Chicago International Film Festival. Mr Kurosawa seems to have become popular internationally by his 1997 film 'Cure', a psychological thriller and had been well known as a director in  the horror genre.

この映画は、２００８年に黒澤清さんによって監督され、カンヌ国際映画祭では、ある視点審査員賞を、またシカゴ国際映画祭では審査員大賞を受賞しました。黒澤さんは、心理スリラーである、１９９７年の映画「キュア」によって世界的に人気を得るようになり、ホラーのジャンルの監督としてよく知られてきていました。

In this film, however, he moved away from the horror genre and described an ordinally family trapped by difficulties. Yet, this film has been considered as the best film directed by him.

ですが、この映画では、彼は、ホラーのジャンルから離れ、困難に陥ったある普通の家族を描いています。にもかかわらず、この映画は、彼が監督した最高の映画とみなされています。

The film session is to be held on Thursday, 15 April, from 6.30 to 9pm at the Tollcross Community Centre. There is no charges for this event.

この映画の集まりは、トルクロス・コミュニティ・センターにて４月１５日、木曜日の午後６時半から午後９時まで開かれることになっています。参加費は無料です。
