With three new members! ３人の新しいメンバーとともに！

The fifth meeting of the Japanese Singing Group this year was held yesterday. Three new members attended it.

今年５回目の日本語合唱団の集まりが、昨日もたれました。３人の新しいメンバーが参加してくださいました。

The number of people who are interested in the Japanese Singing Group have been  gradually increasing. The three new members were two British and one Japanese.

日本語合唱団に関心を持つ人々の数はだんだんと増えつつあります。３人の新しいメンバーは、イギリス人２人と日本人一人でした。

We first practiced 'Oboro Dukiyo'(Hazy moon night) which was sung in the previous session, led by Jamie and later by Fumie. Then after studying the background and the meaning of the lyrics of a new song, 'Haruyo, koi' (Longing for spring), we practiced this song. 

私たちは、最初に、前回の会で歌った「おぼろ月夜」を、最初はジェイミーさんに、後には、史恵さんについて、練習しました。そして、新しい歌である「春よ、来い」の背景と歌詞の意味を学んだあと、この歌の練習をしました。

The lyrics of the new song is very poetic and not so self-explanatory. But it seems to be that this song depicts longing feelings for spring, your lover or the realisation of your dream. Although there was a difficult part in singing in harmony, everybody seems to have enjoyed singing this song together!

新しい歌の歌詞は、とても詩的で、あまり自明ではありません。ですが、この歌は、春、恋人、あるいは、夢の実現を待ち焦がれる気分を描いているものと思われます。ハーモニーの練習では、少し難しいところもありましたが、誰もが、この歌を一緒に歌うことをとても楽しんだようでした！
