Today's singing performance 今日の合唱団のパフォーマンス

Today the Japanese Singing Group sang at the exhibition opening run by the final year students in MA Fine Art at the Edinburgh College of Art (part of University of Edinburgh).

今日、日本語合唱団は、エディンバラ芸術大学（エディンバラ大学の一部）のＭＡファイン・アート専攻の最終学年の学生さんたちによって主催された展示会のオープニングで歌いました。

After Ms Momiji Matsuura's introduction why she hoped us to sing at the exhibition opening, I briefly explained the background of the Japanese Singing Group and what sorts of songs we have been singing.

松浦もみじさんが、なぜ展示会のオープニングで私たちに歌ってほしいと望んだのかを紹介されたあと、私が、日本語合唱団の背景と、これまでどんな歌を歌ってきているかを簡単に説明しました。

Today only four members of the Japanese Singing Group (Momijim, Fumie, Jamie and me) can join the event. We sang 'Imjin gawa' (Imjin river)', 'Momiji' (Maples) and 'Oboro dukiyo' (Hazy moon night). Each of these songs was introduced in turn by each of three members.

今日は、日本語合唱団の４人のメンバーのみ（もみじさん、史恵さん、ジェイミーさん、そして私）が、イベントに参加することができました。私たちは、「イムジン河」、「もみじ」、そして「おぼろ月夜」を歌いました。三つの歌のそれぞれは、３人のメンバーによって順に紹介されました。

Around 20 people listened to our singing. Some of them informed me that they came to the exhibition to listen to our singing! 

おそらく２０人くらいの方が、私たちの歌を聞いてくださいました。そのうちの何人かの方は、私たちの歌を聞くために展示会に来られたと私に知らせてくださいました。
