Party of the Singing Group 合唱団のパーティー

The Japanese Singing Group had a party at Tang's Japanese Restaurant　yesterday. In total eight members attended it. We all had a great time!

日本語合唱団は、昨日タンの日本食レストランでパーティを持ちました。合計で８人のメンバーが参加しました。 全員が、素晴らしい時間をすごしました！ 

The meal at the restaurant was very satisfactory! The meal we ordered was Japanese hot pot with vegetables, tofu and chicken. The dipping source was a soysource based one with citrus juice and rice and miso soup were accompanied. We paid £15 per person, separately paying for drinks. I had a vegetarian hot pot.

レストランの食事は、とても満足できるものでした！私たちが注文した食事は、野菜、豆腐、鶏肉の日本の鍋でした。たれは、ポン酢で、ご飯、味噌汁がついていました。一人１５ポンドで、飲み物は別に支払いました。 私は、ベジタリアン用の鍋を食べました。

There were five regular members since September last year and three relatively new members. Their nationalities were French, British, Korean and Japanese. The party was held to celebrate a member's obtaining a job, to say good-bye to another member and to celebrate my birthday together.

昨年の９月以来の５人のいつものメンバーと、相対的に新しい３人のメンバーで、国籍は、フランス、イギリス、韓国、そして日本でした。パーティは、メンバーの一人の就職祝い、別のメンバーにお別れをいうこと、そして、私の誕生日祝いを兼ねてもたれました。

In the party, somebody said that by singing together she feels connected with others. 　In fact, through singing we could be connected beyond national boundaries and age differences.

パーティでは、ある方が、一緒に歌うことで、他の人たちとつながる感じがすると述べておられました。歌うことを通して、事実として私たちは国籍を超えて、年齢の違いを超えて、つながる事ができます。

After the meal, we moved to a space in front of McEwan Hall of the university of Edinburgh. Takuma, the Japanese student who is leaving Edinburgh soon showed first his jazz dancing to us using a background music. He then taught us briefly some different types of dancing including hip-pop dancing. He also showed us lock dancing. 

食事のあと、私たちは、エディンバラ大学のマキューワン・ホールの前にある空間へと移動しました。まもなくエディンバラをさる日本人学生の、卓磨さんが、私たちに、バックグランド音楽を使いつつ最初に、ジャズダンスを見せてくださいました。そのあと、彼は、ヒップ・ポップダンスを含む違ったタイプのダンスを私たちに簡単に教えてくれました。 彼はまた、ロックダンスも私たちに見せてくださいました。
