Song called '(R)imjin River' 「イムジン河」という歌

This song I mention is a song sung by a group called the Folk Crusaders in 1967 in Japan  and was stopped to sell the record because of political considerations at that time.

私が言及している歌は、１９６７年にザ・フォーク・クルセダーズと呼ばれたグループによって発表されたのですが、当時の政治的背景もからみ、結果的に発売中止となった歌です。

The song was based on a same name song of 1957 originated in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea). The latter song was written by Mr Pak Se-yeong who also wrote the national anthem of North Korea. The music was made by Mr Gao Zong Han. Mr Takeshi Matsuyama translated the first verse of the song into Japanese and added the second and third Japanese verses original for the Folk Crusaders.  

この歌は、朝鮮民主主義人民共和国（北朝鮮）で作られた1957年の同名の歌を元にしていました。この後者の歌は、北朝鮮の国歌の作詞をした朴世永さんによって書かれていました。曲は、高宗漢さんによって作られていました。松山猛さんは、ザ・フォーク・クルセダーズのために歌の一番を日本語に翻訳し、二番と三番の日本語独自の歌詞を加えていました。

In particular, by a great hit of the film called 'Patchigi' in 2005, which won many prestigious awards in Japan and where the song was repeatedly used, this song comes to be well known. The film was also based on a book related to the song '(R)imjin-river' written by Mr Matsuyama above mentioned.

この歌は、とりわけ、日本で名声の高い多くの賞を獲得した2005年の、この歌を繰り返し使った『パッチギ』という映画の大ヒットによって、再び良く知られるようになっています。映画は、上記した松山さんによって書かれた、歌「イムジン河」に関しての本に基づいてもいました。

The lyrics state about sadness one nation having been divided into two, South Korea and North Korea. The (R)imjin river goes through the two countries. Recently Mr Osamu Kitayama, who used to be a member of the Folk Crusaders, added the fourth verse. He explained that '(R)imjin river' might be also between Korean peninsular and Japan, and also among us. He implied that similar lines like one dividing South Korea and North Korea exists everywhere. Hoping to remove such lines, he created the new verse.

歌詞は、一つの国が、二つへと、北朝鮮と韓国へと分割されていることの悲しさについて述べています。イムジン河は、 この二つの国を通っている河です。最近、かつてザ・フォーク・クルセダーズのメンバーであった北山修さんは、新しく四番を加えています。彼は、「イムジン河」は、朝鮮半島と日本の間にも、また、私たちの間にも流れているかもしれないと述べておられます。韓国と北朝鮮をを分割している線と同じような線は、どこにでも存在しているのだと、暗示しておられます。こうした線を取り除くことを願いながら、彼は、その新しい四番を作られました。
