Two songs in the next Singing Group 次回合唱団での２つの歌

The first meeting of the Japanese Singing Group in 2010 will be held on Thursday, 14 January from 7pm at the Tollcross Community Centre, Room 4 (not Room 2).

２０１０年はじめての日本語合唱団の集まりが、１月１４日、木曜日の午後７時より、トルクロス・コミュ二ティ・センターのルーム４（ルーム２ではありません）で持たれます。

We will practice basically two songs on this meeting: Big Old Clock (Okina furu dokei) and Wind (Kaze). The first song is based on an old American song, My Grandfather's Clock, created in 1876. This song was covered by Mr Ken Hirai in 2002 and became popular in Japan.   

この集まりでは、基本的に二つの歌を練習する予定です。大きな古時計と風です。最初の歌は、My Grandfather's Clockという１８７６年に作られた、古いアメリカの歌に基づいたものです。この歌は、２００２年に、平井堅さんによってカバーされ、日本で人気になりました。

The other song is a great hit in 1969, more than 40 years ago, sung by Mr Norihiko Hashida and Shoe-belts. The lyrics are written by Mr Osamu Kitayama, now professor in psychiatry at the University of Kyushu. The following is a youtube link where the above group sings this song:

もう一つの歌は、４０年以上前、１９６９年に大ヒットした曲で、端田宣彦とシューベルツによって歌われました。歌詞は、現在、九州大学の精神医学の教授である、北山修さんによって書かれています。以下のものは、上記のグループがこの歌を歌っているYoutubeへのリンクです。
